Yes there are camping and parking options but these are limited so pre book and you won't miss out. Glass, pets and byo alcohol are prohibited anywhere on the site. All entrants will need to submit to a search to confirm they are not carrying or concealing any of the above items.

There is an exclusive covered marquee area for VIP Pass holders which includes sight of main stage, food, bar and your own toilet facilities. This will be open for VIP Pass holders from 4.00pm on Sunday 30th December.

This ticket will only be available online at http://www.liveinconcert.co.nz/ while stocks last.

General Admission Tickets

Limited numbers available. This is a general admission ticket with a prepaid parking option. Access to car park from midday 31st December.

This ticket holder has access to the venue and may enjoy both entertainment stages. Either main stage or the adjacent R18 Mojo Bar which has its own stage, food and beverage and an eight band lineup.

In its second year Mercury Rising is now able to offer limited camping space and a far bigger area for parking. With accommodation in the area being at a premium at this time of year this facility gives all concert goers the opportunity to remain on site in both a safe and secure environment. The right to camp has been granted on a temporary emergency basis by the Thames Coromandel District Council. The successful operation of the facility will enable development for concert goers in the future. It is important that all concert goers are aware that there is a total fire ban which relates to the site. NO FIRES, NO GLASS, NO ALCOHOL, NO PETS are allowed on the site. Vehicles will be searched. Camping tickets are available but there will be no entry without a concert ticket(s). The campsites are $30.00 each and will allow one vehicle and tent - 5x5m site. If you have a parking ticket you may leave your vehicle in the parking area and set up a two tent site. The campsite will be open for GA ticket holders from midday on December 31. This is a temporary emergency measure so the only facility supplied is fresh running water. Behave yourselves and this will be expanded in the future. All campsites must be cleared by 10.00am on Tuesday the first of January 2008.

The event is an all age's event with R18 restricted areas where concert goers will need to have their proof of age before they can enter.

This year Mercury Rising continues the philosophy of a NZ sounds only festival with the entertainment spread to a second stage situated in the Mojo Bar area. The main stage flavour is eclectic but founded on the endearing sounds of New Zealand and the Pacific whereas the Mojo stage is decidedly rock. The grouping of some of NZ's finer up and coming names on this stage is testimony to the enormous pool of talent we have to draw from in New Zealand. Both stages wave the flag high and proud for the names we call our own – Mercury Rising is all about New Zealand artists sharing this great night of celebration with fans and partygoers alike. The traditional kiwi summer at the beach with great kiwi sounds at Mercury Rising.

For all the latest information on the performing artists check their web addresses below. Get to the Coromandel and be a part of their New Years Eve. Take the time to get it together before you arrive so you don't miss out on either camping or parking.
