Mint Chicks Sold Out - New Show Added

Mint Chicks Sold Out - New Show Added

Monday, 17th December 2007 12:00PM

As we all know, when you’re moving to another country, you’ve got to say goodbye to everyone before you leave. With this in mind, The Mint Chicks are pleased to announce that they have one more chance to farewell their home crowd with an extra date at Auckland’s Transmission Room this Saturday night, the 22nd December.

This is definitively the last Auckland show the Mint Chicks will play as residents of New Zealand, so you know what you have to do. As with the other dates of this see-you-round tour, the tickets are the unique collectable white vinyl, 7” 45RPM single, featuring ‘Walking Off A Cliff, Again’ from the award winning Crazy Yes, Dumb No album, with the unavailable-elsewhere, brand new song ‘2010’ on the flipside. The last few weeks has seen a frantic burst of activity from the soon-to-depart-for-Portland Mint Chicks.

The farewell shows down country; a near-riot in Orewa; playing as the Timebomb with Jed Town and Chris Orange of the Features for a Radio New Zealand session and a one-off 30 minute performance; garage sales, tall tales, and garbage pails. In the spirit of the season, the Mint Chicks are confident that Mary Xmas and Round John Virgin will be in attendance at thi special Saturday night show.

ADDITIONAL DATE:
