Big Day Out - Nightwatchmen swap slots with the Battles

THE NIGHTWATCHMAN CHANGES BIG DAY OUT SLOT

In a last minute adjustment to the previously-published programme for Friday's Big Day Out in Auckland, The Nightwatchman has swapped performance times with Battles on the Green Stage.

The new times are: The Nightwatchman onstage at 4.45pm Battles 6.15pm

The Nightwatchman is of course the acoustic alter ego of Rage Against The Machine guitarist, Tom Morello. His songs, as recorded on his album One Man Revolution, are as lyrically hard-hitting as anything produced in RATM but delivered in a totally different style.

The Nightwatchman lists his influences as Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Johnnie Cash, Che Guevera, Malcom X, Emma Goldman, Paul Robeson.

Now that he appears directly after Billy Bragg's Essential Stage performance (4.40 – 4.45), the Big Day Out's revolutionary zeal looks like it will be peaking in late afternoon this year!
