The New Zealand winter is a delicate and mesmerising blend of striking atmospheric convergences. Harsh, biting winds sweep heaving torrents of rain through the valleys and saturate the forests before the sun splendidly resurfaces on the horizon. Icy gales only momentarily drive the herds to sheltered pastures until calm reappears, briefly, before being driven out again to make way for the next sub-Antarctic blast. The reassurance of sunlight ebbs and flows, and any spectacle of colour in the sky is inevitably drowned in a thick sea of brooding grey….As this season of climatic dynamism descends upon Aotearoa, the finest trans-Tasman exponents of sonic noisescaping will perform a fitting auditory tribute to these harsh surrounds.

Fresh from a European tour supporting American post-rock luminaries Isis and an Australian sojourn with Cog, New Zealand's premier exponents of audio-experimentalism Jakob return to native shores to peform in Wellington and Auckland during this the tenth year of a stellar career that has seen this unique band rise to the forefront of antipodean musical innovation.

Joining Jakob on their return home will be Melbourne instrumental noise merchants Grey Daturas. Having last toured New Zealand in 2005, and with a third album 'Return To Disruption' released this year; the return of Grey Daturas to the land of the long white cloud could not be more timely. With influences ranging from psychedelia to industrial metal and a myriad of styles in between, the Victorian three-piece deliver darkness and dirges to pulsate through the human anatomy.

This titanic tour-de-force will set another at-once bleak and uplifting New Zealand winter to music; music free of orthodox conventions and limitations. This will be a tour not to be missed, nor one to be forgotten.
