Mary J Blige NZ Tour Cancelled

Last month Promoter Chugg Entertainment announced that the June scheduled Mary J Blige tour of Australia and New Zealand would be postponed until November 2008. Michael Chugg, Executive Chairman of Chugg Entertainment today announced with regret that the 2008 tour would no longer go ahead due to re-scheduling issues surrounding Mary J Blige’s existing international tour schedule and personal commitments.

This comes as a great disappointment for the promoter as it will to the thousands of fans who have been patiently awaiting an update on the re-scheduled tour dates.

Michael Chugg said “We have been in constant contact with Mary’s management and have tried a number of alternatives to make this work, which is why it’s taken a bit of extra time to announce an update. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of Mary’s supporters who got behind this tour and called my office every day waiting on news.

“I want them to know that we will get Mary to Australasia one day and I hope it will be soon, she is a superstar. I’ve seen it before and it’s time for Australasia to get a taste too. I know her fans will hang in there and when she finally gets here, baby, it’s going to be huge!”

Chugg Entertainment has asked that all ticket holders contact their point of purchase to arrange for a full refund.

Online/Telephone – If you purchased tickets online or via the telephone, the full purchase price of your tickets less transaction fee in some cases will be refunded automatically to the credit card used to make the original purchase. You will need to return the tickets to either Ticketek, Ticketmaster or Live In Concert before the transaction is approved. (Please allow seven days for the refund to come through).

Outlet/Agency – If you purchased your tickets at a Ticketek or Ticketmaster agency as a hard ticket purchase, please take your tickets back to the place of purchase for a full refund. For Live In Concert sales, please send to below address.
