Deerhunter Microcastle

The long awaited album by Deerhunter, the group that has teased us all year with their perfect pop, psychedelic, indie.
It’s a more direct album than their predecessor Cryptograms, more pop sensibility, but at the same time more chaos as their structures break down and merge together at the most unexpected times.
The sound is drifty and void of time. Subtle guitars poke their way though the songs with purposeful drums rounding the walk and light layers of fuzz pass in an out.
Yes I’m a fan, but they had a lot to live up to and they’ve comfortably done this. Microcastle should now let the rest of the world into their space.
