George and Queen - City
City is the first full length album by Auckland duo Immi and Neil. It's a mixed bag affair with guitar layers and drum machines.
Theres a nice overtone to the whole album that carries it along. Immis voice sits well with the other elements, but its really in the slower numbers, like Blue River, that this music seems most at home.
Bits of Mazzy Star spring to mind, with grabs or PJ Harvey, it's a great debut, and worth a listen.
