Teleport Palace by Thought Creature is my first ever experience with this rhythmic, Wellington three piece. Chaotic, messy rhythms, gothic, droning are words that come to mind- in a good way of course. Thought Creature sound like the spawn of Siouxsie Sioux, Chris Matthews from the Headless Chickens and the Happy Mondays…with a penchant for the cow bell.

First track 'Words Can’t Save You' is the standout for me, very gothic rock…I love the guitar in this. 'Kamikaze TV' is more disco/house, as is Shake About. I really like the shouty lyrical style of front man Will Rattray, especially in Went to a Party. Picnic with the Bears is a trippy, great end to Teleport Palace. Interesting lyrics. Thought Creature is a refreshing/original band in amongst all the indie shit that’s around at the moment.
