Spearhead - All Rebel Rockers

All Rebel Rockers by Michael Franti and Spearhead is a mix of classic 70’s reggae, rock, soul, dub and dancehall influences. It has a happy chilled out, summer vibe with some important political messages thrown in for good measure. Why not look after our world and be nice to each other in the process? Sounds so simple…Recorded in Kingston, Jamaica and produced by heavy weights, Sly & Robbie, All Rebel Rockers is music to listen to while drinking a few beers in the sun and would go down so well at the Big Day Out!

Jamaican dancehall singer Cherine Anderson joins Michael on his quest for world peace and provides some beautiful backing vocals as well. Standouts for me are the very ska Rude Boys Back In Town, High, Low and Hey World.
