Phantom Tollbooth have gently bashed out their first EP and want to celebrate it with a party at Happy.
This 5-piece have been jamming together for 5 months and have already played with the likes of Family Cactus, Over The Atlantic, Thought Creature, The Botanics and Alphabethead.
This is no coincidence considering their driving hooks, eclectic mix of sounds and instrument arrangements including two guitars, two basses, a saxophone, a synth, a keyboard, four vocalists and a crazed drummer.
Your body will jolt uncontrollably to their dancey prog rock grooves as they flow into your face and ear canals. Be prepared for driving beats and polyrhythms flying all over the place.
Joining them are Full Moon Fiasco and Son of Pig. Full Moon are the brainchild of Will Rattray of Thought Creature. They have a sound comparable to early pink floyd material with mesmerising organ in tow.
Son of Pig are usually a 3-piece consisting of drums, guitar and vocals blasting out syncopated, fast moving, Mike Patton-inspired energy rock. With their drummer gallivanting in Bahrain this summer, they will be performing with Georgie Swan-Hay (Mama Tilly) on drums and Julian Lewis (Avocado Baby, Phantom Tollbooth) guesting on bass.
