On the cusp of releasing her new EP, Your Favourite, Beth Torrance is set to hit the stage at Public Bar on July 1st with her band the Garden Party, completed by Ben Frisby (bass) and Finn McNeill (drums). They'll be joined by Blunt dog.
Beth Torrance's new single, Suzy May, delivers the indie-rock sound she's has been building towards. Her earlier songs land differently in the hands of the taut, transcendent power trio: bigger, wider, and with room to breathe.
Blunt dog are wild and weary, Chelsea boot wearing, making Hairy Maclary fuzzy music to warm the cockles of the heart. Plucking at at the silver strings and pulling out all the stops, the boys make noise swaying gently in the wind and cause the boat to rock.
