Our NZ line up consists of two live acts, and 4 DJs.
10-11 - Jesse Jahmal – DJ set (Hip-Hop, Reggae, Dancehall, Dub, Roots)
Born and raised in the south island of Aotearoa, Jesse Jahmal came of age musically as a DJ and beat maker between Wellington and Melbourne in Australia.
Enamoured with the sounds of roots reggae, hip-hop, dub, dancehall and conscious reality music in general, Jesse Jahmal constructs intricate DJ sets and original instrumental beats that reflect and blend all of the above in his own unique manner. Having played alongside a who’s who of New Zealand talent in Australia (Ladi6, Katchafire, The Blackseeds etc) he has spent the last few months secluded in the Marlborough sounds, recording new original material with the likes of Capulet.

12-12.30 - D:UNK [live] (Synthetic Funk)
Existing in a similar tradition to the likes of Zapp Band, Dam Funk, Joker, LV and Hudson Mohawke, D:UNK is Wellington’s leading synthetic funk beatmaker. At All Styles, he will be performing a live laptop set via Ableton and his trusty MPC beat pad.
12.30-1 – Ruffneck Souljah [live] (Club Hip-Hop/Hoodtronics/Happy Time)
In the game since 2003, Ruffneck Souljah have individually and collectively performed across New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Europe to crowds of up to 800, working through a steady evolution of musical styles in the process. At All Styles, key members Lioness Angela Graham, Mista T and Martyn Pepperell will be throwing down an action packed set of beats, raps and songs; hold tight.
1-2 – DBS DJ Set (Breaks, Booty House, Ghetto Tek)
Honing his skills as a DJ and a producer in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, DBS can always be counted on when you need a heavy club-tempo rollout. DBS has recently played alongside Cornerstone Roots, Dick Johnson, MC Rolex, Cool kids club and more.
Currently based in Gisborne, he makes his Wellington DJ debut at All Style, don’t miss out.
2-3 – Myrikal DJ Set (Grime)
Myrikal came up in the Wellington Hip-Hop scene as a turntablist, beatmaker and key member of respected local rap group Chozin Few. After his successes in the DMC DJ championships and releasing 5 successful Hip Hop Mixtapes, Myrikal shifted his focus towards Grime Music around 2008. His riddems quickly caught a lot of attention with spins on radio stations like Londons legendary Rinse FM. He’s been living in Germany for the last few years and is back on holiday in New Zealand for a few months, he will be rolling out a heavy Grime set for us at All Style.
