Drummer Tony Hopkins, the elder statesman of the band, has been an integral part of the New Zealand/Australian jazz and music scene for over 50 years, whether playing with visiting international artists or being part of the driving force behind many local groups, his impeccable sense of time and feel have inspired generations of fans and musicians alike. Winner of the Inaugural National Jazz Saxophone Award in Australia, saxophonist Tim Hopkins also has a long list of credits to his name. He has also established himself as a band leader/composer with 6 CDs having been released under his own name. Tony and Tim are joined by two of the most accomplished musicians in the country, the unbelievably versatile Dixon Nacey on guitar and the ubiquitous Oliver Holland on bass. HHNH will be playing original compositions with some unusal arrangements of jazz standards.
