Lucien Johnson is one of NZs leading saxophonists, performing with the likes of the Yoots, Jonthan Crayford Quartet, Village of the Idiots, the Eggs, the Alda Rezende Quintet and the Boptet.
Johnson has recently returned from six years living in Paris where he performed with some legendary jazz musicians such as Alan Silva, John Betsch, Mario Canonge and Itaru Oki and toured all over Europe, in India and in Haiti. Lucien is joined by Patrick Bleakley (Blerta, Jonathan Crayford Quartet) on the double bass and the NZSM composer in residence John Rae on drums. They will play a dynamic mix of original swinging jazz.
