New Zealands finest young musicians
21 year old Peter Koopman has been a regular fixture on the Auckland music scene for the last 4 years. He reunites with long time musical collaborator Steve Barry who returns from Australia after playing with the likes of Dale Barlow, James Muller, and leading lights of the Australian scene. On November 10th Peter Koopman, who according to Roger Manins is playing his face off, will lead his quartet in a night of sizzling, creative, original, world class jazz. Says Peter Im very excited to have the opportunity to gig with Steve again, hes one of the most musical people Ive met and its always very inspiring to hear him play. Well be presenting a program of our original music.
