Armed with an MPC, laptop and a collection of keyboards/synthesizers, Auckland pianist/producer/musician: Timothy William pulls together a selection of some of Aucklands top talent for a live and improvised collision of live house/dance beats, hip-hop breaks, urban grooves and jazz improvisation. All produced and performed live and from scratch. Featuring a rotating cast of guest musicians, vocalists, MCs and DJs.
CJC
The Creative Jazz Club, is a proactive community of musicians and jazz fans (non-musicians) alike, who are committed to furthering the development of quality, improvised music in NZ. With its move to 1885, CJC is developing its programming of national and international artists, creating a unique performance space in Auckland for high calibre jazz artists and pianists to perform.
CJC Membership
As a CJC member, you get the chance to support and be a part of the community’s growth, and the opportunity to perform as part of its creative program.
Other Member benefits include a discounted entrance fee on the door, a discount on selected wine and beer on the bar and on two food items on CJC club nights. There is also the chance to go into the draw for a weekly prize of new jazz CDs, and when available, Members will also have the opportunity to win jazz concert tickets.
Membership is $40 a year. CJC is a non profit organisation and revenue goes back into CJC.
CJC was founded and is run by Roger Manins, Mark Robinson and Carolina Moon with Ben McNicoll joining the team as Mark recently moved to Australia.
