New Zealands all time most commercially successful DJ, with over a quarter of a million mix CD sales in Australasia, the 1996 release of Largered was NZ’s first ever released mix compellation CD. Also claiming Gold & Platinum mix CD sales in New Zealand in 1997 & 1998 with Largered. In 1991 Sample Gee hit the NZ Top 20 singles chart with Chain Gang’s – “Jump” the first ever locally produced dance track to make the top 20 and moved on to be Australasian resident DJ for the UK super club ‘Cream’ from 2001. In 2003 he was publicly voted the #5 DJ in Australia in the Pioneer In The Mix Top 50 DJ Poll, the highest ranking ever achieved by a New Zealand DJ in Australia. Sample Gee really is one of the pioneers of the NZ Club scene with a list of other accolades a mile long including hosting NZ’s first ever nationwide mix show on radio ‘The ZM Club Mix’ & NZ’s first dance music video show ‘The Pulse’ on ‘Max TV’. Currently resident DJ at Sky City’s Twenty1 along with one of Auckland’s hottest hang out spots ‘Sale Street’. And way back when, Wade Marriner discovered his passion for the honeyed anthems of that, and he has never looked back! Frequently found playing everything from Ministry of Sound to Get Physical tunes in many of the most iconic Auckland clubs & radio stations. With a self confessed addiction to the Big-Room House sound, as well as a penchant for boundary pushing with all things funky, progressive and tech. 2010 has proved to be an eventful year for Wade having 2 releases out with Kyle Bourke on NZ label “Get Loaded Records” whilst headlining his own 12 stop NZ Tour & studying electronic music production at MAINZ. Having supported artists as diverse as Ian Carey, Fedde le Grand, Nic Fanciulli, Fred Falke, Marco Demark, Mark Doyle, Peyton, Stimming, Dave 54, Graham Cordery, Klaus Hill, Surkin, Claudia Cazacu & resident DJ at the just voted #1 night club in Auckland ‘Be’.
