Australian multi-instrumentalist, Downstage frequent flier and winner of Best Music and Best Solo Show at the 2009 NZ Fringe, Adam Page teams up with pre-eminent New Zealand composer John Psathas to create The Harvest Suite, a beautiful soundscape in four parts using Solo Saxophone and looping pedals.
The world and art of looping is certainly growing, and this composition is an innovative step forward for this style of performance.
Funded by an Arts South Australia Musician In Residence grant, Page and Psathas are writing the suite together in Wellington for an exclusive world premiere at Downstage.
Adam is a musician of immense talent, and a personality that leaps off the stage and right into your heart. He may be Australian, but Wellington has adopted him as one of their own.
