Ken Nicol is a guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer from Preston, in England. His music covers the spectrum from blues to rock, and effortlessly takes in folk, jazz, ragtime, ballads and more along the way. Ken was a member of the legendary Albion Band from 1997 until 2001. In 2002, he joined forces with Steeleye Span, recording four albums with them and touring extensively for seven years. He left Steeleye Span last year, and has gone solo. This is his second tour of New Zealand
As a guitarist, he is one of the most skilled and exciting players anywhere today; as a singer he is capable of evoking wide range of emotions in his audience; and as a songwriter he demonstrates these abilities in his clever and well-crafted material.
Pukerua Bay singer-songwriter Helen Dorothy, who\s building a reputation for her beautifully crafted songs, will also be performing, at Meow Cafe, 9 Edward St, in central Wellington.
