The Whiskey Live 2011 Che Fu

THE WHISKEY LIVE is a series of concerts presented annually by THE WHISKEY bar in Auckland’s Ponsonby Road as a celebration of New Zealand Music Month each May. Featuring a broad spectrum of New Zealand musicians performing one of a kind, limited capacity shows; THE WHISKEY LIVE is fast becoming a headline attraction of New Zealand Music Month each year.

Che Fu, a Māori-Niuean hip hop, R&B, and reggae vocalist is one of New Zealands most successful male vocalists. He began his music career at high school with a group of friends in forming the Low Down Dirty Blues Band, which went on to change their name to Supergroove.
In 1997 Che released his debut solo album ‘2b S.Pacific’ which launched 4 Top 10 singles, charted at #1, and sold 2 x Platinum - a landmark for a local urban record at the time.
With string of awards behind him and two more albums ‘Navigator’, & ‘Beneath The Radar’, Che Fu boasts a string of well known tracks such as Misty Frequencies, Fade Away, Chains, Scene III, Waka, Random, Lightwork and more.
