THE WHISKEY LIVE is a series of concerts presented annually by THE WHISKEY bar in Auckland’s Ponsonby Road as a celebration of New Zealand Music Month each May. Featuring a broad spectrum of New Zealand musicians performing one of a kind, limited capacity shows; THE WHISKEY LIVE is fast becoming a headline attraction of New Zealand Music Month each year.
New Zealand’s iconic Jazz Entertainers the Nairobi Trio mark their 22nd year together with a show featuring material spanning the groups’ career to date from their eight CDs , a mixture of skillfully crafted original pieces and Jazz favourites - the distinctive sound and delivery which is the hallmark of the Nairobi Trio.
Violin, Guitar and Double bass blend and weave to create the Trios own brand of very accessible jazz. Guest saxophonist Andrew Dixon ads his own magic - be prepared to be drawn into their world, to be carried away by a performance as faultless as youd expect from such experienced talents.
