THE WHISKEY LIVE is a series of concerts presented annually by THE WHISKEY bar in Auckland’s Ponsonby Road as a celebration of New Zealand Music Month each May. Featuring a broad spectrum of New Zealand musicians performing one of a kind, limited capacity shows; THE WHISKEY LIVE is fast becoming a headline attraction of New Zealand Music Month each year.
Greg Johnson is a perennial among New Zealand recording artists and songwriters.
Since his first breakthrough single “Isabelle” hit the charts and hearts of kiwis in the early 90’s he has produced 9 studio albums and toured New Zealand relentlessly, building a strong and loyal fan-base.
His live shows at THE WHISKEY are legendary for their musicianship, intimacy and humour – Greg is back in NZ for a short time only and this is one show not to be missed!
Supported by Andrew Keoghan, a songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist who combines his classical training in singing and violin, with elements of pop and folk – you could even call it chamber-pop.
March 2011 saw the release of his debut album Arctic Tales Divide, which features 11 intriguing and melodic songs – the album has received favourable reviews and Keoghan, who also holds a Licentiate (LTCL) in singing from the Trinity College of London.
