Pirate City Rollers' two oldest teams know each other well; they've come head-to-head time and time again since 2007. Crowd favourite Mascara Massacre has come tantalisingly close many times, only to have their efforts snatched in the last seconds by three-time season champions Dead Wreckoning. Now, on June 18 you can see these old foes battle it out in the re-match of the year.
Mascara Massacre has been strengthened and revitalised this year, with a crop of new skaters joining the ranks, next to a number of fighting fit veterans who are ready to prove they can take down the women in black once and for all.
Meanwhile, fear-inducing Dead Wreckoning has held the top-of-the-table position since 2009 and is the current holder of the Black Dahlia Cup, Pirate City Rollers' coveted home season prize. Dead Wreckoning's veterans are a mix of powerhouse blockers and agile jammers, but they too have a number of up-and-coming athletes with big skates to fill.
Tickets to the re-match of the year are strictly limited. Pirate City Rollers' last bout sold out, leaving many punters disappointed. Book now to avoid being left out in the cold!
