Yoooo
Back once again with the ill behaviour and the only Wednesday night party with more than 50 people and music from just as many different musical genres, that also hosts international (check out our flyers for next weeks guests from Frances Kitsune records). Yup the only place youll hear Wu Tang, Modest Mouse, Fat Boy Slim, Aeroplane, Miike Snow, De La Soul. Floating Points, Phoenix, SBTRKT, Chromeo, Miike Snow, Flying Lotus, Gucci Mane, perhaps even in one set, AND live music.
On that note- this week is no exception and weve got the very exceptional GLASS OWLS. At the forefront on Indie rock/Power Pop this Howick 4 piece was renown as a force to be reckoned with live well before their debut, which proved they could kill it on record as well as they could live. Were honored to have them down so soon after the realize of their new quirky video for Griffen Boy-http://www.youtube.com/user/GlassOwls.
Weve also got back close friends (it seems we say this about everyone, we must be friendly guys) the duo who play as many genres as they produce- POCKETS. Yup making everything from indie dance to drum and bass, who knows what theyll play, but you can generally count on them keeping it full of nu-disco treats and funky mash ups.
If that wasnt enough weve also got the full roster of residents back in full effect as usual- DANIEL FARLEY and THE LOST BOYS in the main room, serving up all your favourite indie/nu-disco/hip hop/funk/house/jazz/indie, MAD WORLD and JAKE & JOSH in the back bar, looking towards the future with some experimental and underground hip hop/Uk funky/2 step, and some anthems and classic raps respectively. So add that shit up and you got.
