In mid July, John Costa had his gear stolen from his van in Queen's Drive, Island Bay. Police has been notified, musicians and music lovers all over the city are on the lookout but so far, no dice.
One guitar in particular had a high sentimental value that no one can put a monetary figure on. In addition, amps, microphones, leads and other essentials for a touring musician have also been taken.
Bar Medusa and other friends and musical 'colleagues' of John have banded together to put on a fundraiser gig, in the hopes we can put together enough money to replace the stolen gear.
