Meows Thursday line-up for Thursday the 18th features Major Major, Matt Horne, Kriston Batistić and Smashed Potatoes. The doors open at 9pm with the first act at 9.30. Entry is $5.
Major Major, recently having chaired their moniquer after their recent headline appearance at the Black Cotton Acoustic Sessions are back on stage at Meow. With the captivating and beautiful vibrato vocal style of Peter Scott layered with phat saxophone licks, punchy south-paw bass, and drums they are am emerging act not to be missed.
Newly based in Wellington, Kriston is a solo performer from the soul. Since earning himself a place in the National Final of the 2010 Smokefree Rockquest, Kriston has wooed crowds of thousands; including an opening slot at the Mission Estate Winery in Napier, where he found himself in a group performing before songsmith, Sting. Whether he performs in front of hundreds or just face-to-face , Kriston gives his all in capturing an audience with his original take on soul-rock styled music.
And, introducing two new acts: Smashed Potatoes (featuring Darryll Vickers of Funkacybin) and the exciting new solo act, Matt Horne.
