New Zealand dance legend Sir Jon Trimmer will perform in a rollicking show featuring songs and surprises from the 1920s & 1930s accompanied by sublime jazz singer Judy Grau and virtuoso pianist Gilbert Haisman.
Expect an evening full of colourful costumes, movement, fast-changing toe-tappers, plus plenty of laughs with a few gritty touches. Sir Jon has to be seen and heard to be believed.
Special guests include Lambton the Butler, Lee Hatherley, Storyville Sam and more.
The show was first performed to a sell out audience at Raumati's Lembas Cafe as part of this year's Wellington On A Plate festival before graduating to Paekakariki's venerable St Peter's Hall.
The audience is asked to be part of the fun. Patrons are asked to bring on the boas, bowlers, bow ties and baubles with prizes awarded to the the best-dressed.
Tickets are available at the Paekakariki Fruit Shop on Beach Rd while bookings can be made via thewordshop@paradise.net.nz or 04 9048428
Tickets include a free glass of bubbly, wine or juice. Other drinks and hors d'oeuvres: cash only please as eftpos is unavailable.
