Hey Auckland! Can’t get over to Australia for the massive Future Music Festival? Well, don’t freak out because Future Entertainment and Rhythm & Vines are bringing the best of the party direct to you!

Prepare your ears for a massive musical blow out as Fatboy Slim(UK), Skrillex(USA), Die Antwoord(SA) and Porter Robinson(USA) all play the Auckland Vector Arena on Friday the 2nd March. All these white hot acts are touring Australia as part of the massive Future Music Festival, but we couldn’t exclude New Zealand from the party now, could we?!

A literal legend in his own lifetime, Fatboy Slim has enjoyed the sort of music career and international stardom that many can only aspire to. A leading figure in carving out electronic music, he rose to notoriety in the midst of the UK’s early 1980’s hip hop and block party scene, and, well, never looked back!

Officially adopting the moniker of ‘Fatboy Slim’ in late 1996, his catalogue of hits since boasts iconic tracks like ‘Everybody needs a 303’, ‘The Rockafeller Skank’, ‘Praise You’, and ‘Weapon Of Choice’. In a musical odyssey that has spawned a string of chart-topping albums (including ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’, ‘You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby’, ‘Halfway between The Gutter And The Stars’ and ‘Palookaville’), taken in 12+ production pseudonyms, and seen him rock 250,000 people at arguably the most famous gig in dance music history – his Brighton Beach epic – it’s little wonder that many consider Fatboy Slim to be one of the greatest DJ/Producers of all time.

These days, Cook’s show involves not just playing his own-patented brand of “party acid house”, but a complex audio-visual production. “I’m technically a video jockey now. We write scripts for all the tunes, make films. In the past, I used to have to literally hold up the next record I was going to play to the guy who does my visuals, and he’d have to find the images to match it. And they were never synched. But now, because of the technology, no matter what speed I play at, even if I just chop quickly into it, the visuals are all synchronized. It’s a show.”

Hailing from sunny California, former front man for From First To Last, Skrillex (AKA Sonny Moore), has been taking dubstep fans around the world to heaven and back since first embarking on a glittering solo career in 2007. The genius behind gritty low slinger like ‘Weekends!!!’, ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’, ‘First Of The Year’ and ‘Ruff Neck’, this talented artist has remixed household names like Snoop Dog and Lady GaGa. Fusing dubstep seamlessly with electro house and fidget house, Skrillex is carving a name for himself deep and proud.

Arguably responsible to bringing dubstep out of the shadows and into the mainstream arena, he was recently nominated for 5 Grammys and anointed MTV's EDM Artist of The Year after his ubiquitous single Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites was certified gold earlier this month, and has released his feverishly anticipated Bangarang EP on OWSLA/Big Beat/Atlantic/Neon Records.

Bangarang features collaborations with The Doors, Ellie Goulding, Wolfgang Gartner, 12th Planet, Kill The Noise, and Sirah and demonstrates considerable growth in terms of production style and diversity. His interactive robot stage show needs to be seen to be believed!

Die Antwoord are a blistering trio of rap-ravers that know how to get a party started and take it into overdrive. Hailing from Cape Town in South Africa and fuelled by a passion for hip-hop, Zef and rare rave tunes, this dynamic trio is the genius behind singles like ‘Beat Boy’, ‘Rich Bitch’ and ‘Wat Pomp’. Already veterans of festivals, having performed at The Big Day Out and Coachella, they have recently started up their very Record Label called, what else but Zef Recordz. This act is mad, bad and leaves you wanting more. On their last visit down under they raised the bar, and have promised to up the ante for this tour incorporating more swagger, more costume changes and more phat beats to shake a stick at. Die Antwoord certainly do have the answer.

Last but certainly not least, 19 years-old producer Porter Robinson from North Carolina is getting ready to blow off the roof of the Vector Arena with his electro-house and dubstep beats.

So get ready for one amazing night of electro, dubstep, hip hop and everything in between, it’s going to be epic !
