Enigmatic genius, alternative art rock visionary and cosmic songwriter Jed Town performs a multi threaded retrospective voyage through key phases in his 30+ year career. An eclectic variety showcase, the evening opens with the punk energy of seminal act the Features, reconnecting with original bass maestro Chris Orange, and adding powerhouse energy of Christchurch's own Jesse White on drums.
Jed then presents, solo, the shock experimentalism of early 80's Fetus Productions sound and image collage that established their reputation as prime movers in the industrial and avante garde art and music movement. Through the 80's Towns unique persona and songwriting pushed him to centre stage of a performance unit of growing musical sophistication.
Town, long term collaborator Sarah Fort D'Ath, and band will perform the classics from that period, What's Going On, Flicker, Backbeat, State To be In and more with with a reworked visual accompaniment
The Acid House revolution of 89 redirected his attention to the world of dance music, seeding techno project ICU, and audiovisual cybernetic dance music collaboration with Tom Ludvigson that takes the show to the dancefloor and beyond.
