Phil Toms and the Electric Car "uptempo original modal jazz rock with subversive undertones"
Phil Toms has been part of the Auckland music scene since the 70s. He played bass with "Herbs" and guitar with "Tribrations" and was later a member of both "The Neighbours" and "Hattie and the Hotshots". With his new band, "The Electric Car", he plays "electric acoustic modal fusion, with subversive lyrical content."
The FM Band - "original indie rock and ballads" features the songs of Fiona McEwen, who combines folk, pop, rock and Latin influences into songs with catchy melodies. She launched on the open mic scene in 2004 and has performed at cafes, bars, open mics, markets, folk clubs and festivals throughout Auckland and West Auckland as a duo with Steve Terry. The FM Band featured at the 2008 Titirangi Festival of Music.
