Ladi6 is releasing her debut solo album Time Is Not Much on 28 October 2008. The New Zealand soulstress and our Queen of hip hop, Ladi6 has just completed her highly anticipated solo album Time Is Not Much.
Produced by Parks and Mu and recorded at the Drop, Lyall Bay; Time Is Not Much showcases the talent of Ladi6’s lyricism and unique vocals. And it’s a family affair, cousins Tyra Hammond and Scribe lend their vocal talents and some of New Zealand’s top musicians including Julien Dyne, Chip Matthews, Jo Lindsay and Riki Gooch feature on the album.
Ladi6’s distinctive voice has featured on some of the top underground albums to come out of New Zealand in the last decade, including Shapeshifter, Scribe, Fat Freddy’s Drop and the Opensouls.
Returning from an highly successful international tour throughout Europe and the UK, Ladi6 is celebrating the release of Time Is Not Much with a New Zealand tour.
Time Is Not Much is out nationwide on 27 October 2008.
