Soul music is often an artists main inspiration.
At our next event we are gonna bring you the Soul with an Aotearoa twist and
generous helping of Funk, Latin and Jazz.
Our featured guest is one of this countrys most soulful, eclectic and talented
artists Tama Waipara. Hes worked with some of the worlds best
musicians, including Nathan Haines. Tama manages to combine so many
genres with such natural feel. Be prepared to dance, because hes bringing
some uptempo goodness for ya.
Hell be backed of course by the Groovadelic Orchestra.
As we are focusing on the Soul we had to track down Mr. Gene RIvers
for the early set. Gene has one of George FMs tastiest shows
(Chocolate Sunday) so you can expect some irresistible grooves on the night.
Jason Eli will be soulfully rocking the dance floor after Tama and the band at around 2am
In room two, the ever popular Jafa Mafia and Tommy Flowers bring
more of their reggae and dancehall goodness, with Larry & Co bringing you
the now famous Jamaican food. If you need more energy to dance,
just get Larry to sort you out.
So if you want a fresh way to celebrate Christmas, or you just love to
hang out with good people and soak in great music, make sure you make it to
Groovadelica at Khuja, Saturday 13th December. Its still only $10 on the door!
See you on the dance floor!
hip hop/rnb,
jazz
