House of Shem fresh from the Parihaka Peace Festival and Tribal Pride are gonna be blessing Taranaki again with there uplifting reggae.
House of Shem have been touring NZ extensively for the past two years playing at all the best summer music festivals including Raggamuffin, Parachute 09, Parihaka, Rhythm and Vines, Soundsplash, One Love, Tribal Pride, Native Noise.
The Band consists of Carl Perkins original member of the band Herbs who co wrote such classics as "Long Ago", "Sensitive to a Smile”,” Nuclear Waste" to name a few. And has performed with such acts as Mana, and 12 Tribes of Israel. Adding to this line-up are: his two sons Te Omeka and Isaiah, who provide lead vocals and keyboards; Roy Venkataraman (The Wailers); Kaya Webster and Francis Harawira (both formerly of the 12 Tribes of Israel); and Chris Nielson.
Supporting House of Shem at The Mill in New Plymouth is Natural Remedy, a five-piece band from the heart of Patea with a home grown structure and family values all incorporated in a unique style of roots, rock, and reggae. Natural Remedy will nicen up the place for Shem at around 9.00pm, so get in quick to experience this sound.
