The Bilge Rats hosts a country flavored hoedown alondside the likes of The Murderchords and newbies The Broadsides.
The Bilge Rats is well liked for their unusual line-up of a traditional punk band with the addition of a mandolin and violin. Their shows is hyperactive and energetic.
The Murderchords is not exactly new to the NZ music scene and has added a fresh new breath of air with another unusual line-up of drums and piano. They are likened to The Dresden Dolls.
The Broadsides is the new kids on the block and it will be their first ever show. Their music is also quite unusual, although they have the line-up of a traditional rockabilly band: guitar, vocals, drums and upright bass. Their music is, however, a blend of country, psychobilly, swamp blues, polka, bluegrass and country. Fans of Nick Cave, 16 Horsepower and Th Legendary Shack Shakers will certainly like these fellars.
