HEAD LIKE A HOLE ANNOUNCE SECOND AUCKLAND SHOW
New Auckland show announced – Thursday 5th March at the Monte Cristo Room, Nelson Street, Auckland
Tickets from Ticketmaster and Real Groovy Records
For a decade, Head Like A Hole stormed across rock stages in New Zealand, Australia and Europe as they
created headlines with their anarchic, musical mayhem – mixing their rock roots with on stage madness.
With their early indulgence in on-stage nakedness and naked publicity photos, this gained sensational
press in both Australia and New Zealand.
After the release of their debut album 13, their music was gaining excellent reviews from publications
including Rip It Up, NZ Herald, Hot Metal (Australia), On The Street (Australia), Kerrang! (UK) and more.
Soon enough they found themselves touring Australia and later Europe, featuring on the cover
of magazines such as Sydney’s Drum Media.
Music writers still struggled to describe Head Like A Hole’s unique music hybrid, but managed to come
up with “rhythm and balls” and “maestros of schlock rock.” “A sonic blast of refreshingly disruptive
noise,” – Jeremy Sheaff e of Australia’s Hot Metal. In 1996, Sydney music magazine On The Street wrote
– “Head Like a Hole are easily one of the most creatively brilliant bands in the modern world.”
