For the very first time in New Zealand...
Matt and Kim are a dance punk musical duo based in Brooklyn New York, whose live shows are legendary. More like out of control dance parties than concerts, blurring the line between musician and listener. Matt explains: ‘We are excited just to be able to play and we show it, as dorky as that can look’
In 2006 they released their self titled debut album – which was instantly embraced by critics and fans alike – then hit the road, performing at such high profile events as Lollapalooza and The Siren Music Festival.
This year (as soon as they finish touring the US with Cut Copy) they will be heading to New Zealand for the first time, for two shows in support of their second record ‘Grand’ out through Pop Frenzy records.
With Matt and Kim, dancing is not optional, so this May, be prepared to sweat and get ready to feel that dancefloor bend.
And at $15 this will be the cheapest international act you will see this year!
