At a time when Drum n Bass is facing a crossroads of musical identity, it seems an uncanny coincidence that Klute is about to return with an album that will no doubt refocus on musical content and depth. This tour is also timed perfectly to road test his fresh and unique musical creations on his preferred audience in New Zealand. Sampling the past, creating the future and electrifying the visceral now. Blackplanet deliver an energetic show unlike any other.
Blackplanet is Analog and K Lab two souls linked by a love of breaks, samples, synthesizers and ground shaking bass. Fusing the soul with the heavy, the dark with the light Blackplanet uprock the drop in a maelstrom of live drum n bass.
The last few years has seen the brothers perform alongside some of the finest artists in Aoteroa and overseas aswell as headling there own sell out shows receiving rave reviews. As their studio work sees the light of day, their tunes have begun to get noticed from the Netherlands to Auckland to the UK and beyond.
2009 will see multiple releases for different labels and a concept EP distributed. Their live show though is still the main focus, where Blackplanet are out there pushing their sound to its absolute limit.
