Remember summer! When youd get in the Triumph, drive out west to Karekare via the Daktory, spend the day burning your feet on the black sand while passing around a sandy joint, and watch the sun set through the lips of clean breaking waves.. Us to! Fuck we miss it.

While most new young bands have to go through the embarrassing public process of being a bit shit for a while, every so often Auckland coughs up a brand new act that is seemingly flawless from the outset. Despite not yet releasing anything, Popstrangers are fast becoming the talk of every indie-music-media person in the city off the strength of their live set. With good reason, we say! Popstrangers are ridiculously tight and melodically spectacular, without hipster douchebaggery or pretentiousness. One word: Refreshing!
