COOL KIDS CLUB - Tropical / Electronica / Psychedelic

Based in our country’s capital, these dapper young lads have continued to bring the party to NZ’s top clubs and dance floors since transpiring into the electronic music scene just two years ago. The synergy of this duo exudes both in on-stage rapport and in the precision of which they blend a tasteful collaboration of beats and bass-lines from artists all over the globe. Be sure to catch them this summer!

KNIVES AT NOON - Electro / Indie / Rock

Four-piece Dunedin band, formed in August 2007. They have just finished a successful nationwide tour in July and August this year, Charlie ASH joined them in all the major centres. Through this time they have also playing a string of shows with great kiwi bands such as Head Like a Hole, Luger Boa, The Checks, The Tutts and Clap Clap Riot! They managed to squeeze in an afternoon in the Red Bull Live studio doing a live-to-air across the b-Net’s. Knives at Noon are gaining a reputation for abrasive Electro-rock with a high-intensity live performance.

TIDDABADES - Experimental / Concrete / Punk

Tiddabadés have prepared a powerpoint presentation with step by step instructions about how to unfold your arms, nod your head, and start mashing some potatoes right the f#%k now... They are best served live, loud, and half cut!

MAREK - Hip Hop / Club / Healing & Easy Listening

Marek is into sneakers, caps, jackets and designer jeans. He's kicked it on a social or business level with David Banner, De La Soul and the rest of your i-tunes playlist over a few quiet brews or a pot of old English tea in London or LA. Marek holds the fuck down as the resident weekend DJ at Good Luck Bar in Wellington, and is sponsored by W.E.S.C; so you know he stays dipped. He's also the official New Zealand VICE magazine DJ and has played with everyone, everywhere. Right now Marek's all about club tempo dance music, so he's thrashing a lot of Bmore, Bassline and Favela Funk. Don't get it twisted though, you'll still hear some Ice T up in this bitch when the shots are right.

DDOG - Drum & Bass

Dog is 'The Doggfather' of Drum and Bass in Wellington. When he's not wyling out to the latest UGK or watching Katt Williams DVD's, DDog runs some of the best Drum and Bass parties in the southern hemisphere under the Bass Frontiers banner. Over the last few years DDog has taken center stage as a warm up DJ for some of the biggest acts to hit Wellington and knows exactly how to cater to his demographic. Initially leaning more towards spinning classic party Hip-Hop and 'tear your head off' Crunk at FCSS, these days you can find DDog combining it with the freshest B-more, Ghetto House and Fidgit to create pure jump up party vibes.

NEW FRIEND - Indie / Trance / Electro

New Friend are a fresh- faced Wellington indie-dance quartet with an unforgettable live presence. Stage invasions, frenzied raves and flagrant undressing became commonplace as the group cut their teeth at Wellington venues.

Now armed with new songs, a new drummer and more synths, New Friend have been busy infiltrating the scene in Wellington with shows at venues such as the San Francisco Bathhouse, Mighty Mighty and Bar Bodega. They have also recently embarked on a New Zealand tour, playing with the likes of SoNic Smith, Bang! Bang! Eche! and the Transistors
