Marty Casey set to rock New Zealand

Get ready to rock! You’ve been waiting three years and the time has finally come. Fan favourite of hit TV reality show Rock Star: INXS, Marty Casey is coming to New Zealand.


Over 15-million people worldwide watched Casey battle it out with JD Fortune in an effort to earn the front man spot for the new look INXS in 2005. JD won the gig but Marty won our hearts.


After the show he stayed with his Chicago-based band, The Lovehammers, who not only opened for INXS on their world tour but also made a CD with Epic, a major record label.


Casey has always said New Zealand was on his wish-list of places to visit when he had the time.

That time is now, and Marty will be in New Zealand from January 9 - 23 for a solo acoustic tour in support of CanTeen. His appearances include a private show for CanTeen members at the National Camp in New Plymouth. A previous winner of the John Lennon song writing contest with his song ‘Rain on the Brain, Casey will also hold a song writing workshop for the CanTeen members.


Casey will be performing 9 other shows around the country where he’ll be performing songs from Rockstar: INXS, many of his own songs as well as a variety of songs from his favourite songwriters and artists.

Tickets are only $30.00 and are available from Ticketek. The first 100 people through the door at each venue* get a free Vodka Ice! (*This does not include the All Ages show at Majestic House)


Casey is currently working as front man for LA Guns with Tracii Guns, the rocker whose brief and unhappy paring with Axl Rose created Guns N’ Roses. LA Guns is about to release its first album and plans a world tour later next year.
