Anna Fält (Finland/Sweden) has a degree in pop/jazz singing (2006), folk music education (2011) and a master in Nordic folk music (2017). She's been studying in renowned universities such as The Royal Music Academy in Stockholm and Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
Anna's been teaching private lessons since 2008 both in person and online. After graduating as a folk singing teacher 2011, her educational work consists mostly of workshops and courses introducing Finnish singing traditions for non-Finnish people. All material is taught by ear and consists of simple melodies with lots of possibilities for variation - everyone can join, no matter the background! The emphasis is always in Enjoying singing & sounding together.
Anna's specialities are singing traditions from Finland and Sweden, combining the bright Scandinavian and dark East-European tones. She is passionate about the human voice and is known for her innovative ways to use voice as an versatile instrument. She's been teaching workshops at various universities and music schools around the world.
