San Fran Summer Camp is back for 2026!
Join us and some of Te Whanganui-a-Tara’s finest artists over five nights across January and February with tickets from $10 or a season pass for $40, featuring drink specials and cocktails thanks to our sponsor Jameson.
Our penultimate night features two of Pōneke’s finest songwriters from two separate sonic worlds… their combination is sure to be a treat!
Sam Fowles makes music that moves the body, speaks to the heart, and touches the soul. Driven by groove and the desire to find meaning in the moments on this journey we call life, the musician, songwriter and producer has a signature sound that stands out and stuns. Fowles would describe his music as psychedelic soul laced with blues and funk. It resonates with deep grooves and driving rhythms created by vintage drum sounds, digital sonics, and electric guitars that build and blaze into billowing soundscapes. At its core is his unique, soulful voice and the punchy, heartfelt lyrics he wears on his sleeve.
Elly Mae crafts songs that encapsulate the bittersweet ache of growth, the quiet unraveling of time, and the soft glow of nostalgia embedded within. Her music is an amalgamation of folk, dreampop, indie, shoegaze, and anything in between. From lullabies that make you feel weightless to being wrapped in a blanket of sound, Elly Mae's folk/country melodic guitar style is accompanied by experimental, spatial bass from Arran Cargill-Brown and textured pocket drumming from Sasha Francis-Murray.
