Keiko and the Friendly Whalers is an Auckland-based jazz ensemble led by saxophonist Will Ralph. Rooted in strong melodic writing, the group blends traditional Celtic influences with jazz improvisation, creating music that is both intimate and exploratory. The band draws on a love of storytelling and whimsy, focusing on lyricism, texture, and group improvisation to create a truly unique atmosphere.
