Triske are a Wellington-based folk trio blending Celtic traditions with a modern energy. Drawing on Irish, Scottish and Breton influences, their music moves easily between lively dance tunes and reflective songs, creating performances that are warm, intimate and richly melodic.
The band features Em Griffiths on vocals, fiddle and whistles, whose expressive playing and clear, engaging voice sit at the centre of the group’s sound. With a background in classical violin and traditional music, Em brings both precision and emotional depth. Bob McNeill provides rhythmic drive and harmonic foundation, drawing on many years in New Zealand’s folk scene.
Their debut EP, Flightless (2023), showcases both original songs and traditional arrangements.
