Welcomer are embarking on their first nationwide headline tour to celebrate the release of their debut album Calendars, out June 12 via trusted DIY stalwarts, Papaiti Records.
Calendars follows a string of European shows in 2025 and a self titled EP which was described by Under the Radar as ‘melancholic splendour.. in swirls of harmonious goodness, each packed with presence and perfectly placed’. Single Nothing of You Remaining was described by Rolling Stone AU as “blending folk influences with strings for a warm, layered pop sound”.
Joined in Tāmaki by Fazed on a Pony (solo) and Yon Loader
Fazed on a Pony is the alt country/indie rock recording project of New Zealand songwriter Peter McCall. On swan, the most recent Fazed on a Pony album, McCall sings with emotional immediacy, warmth, and wit about living honestly in the face of inevitable uncertainty and disappointment. The album was described by Rolling Stone as career-best work, and a record that is giving one of Aotearoa’s most underrated musicians his due.
Yon Loader is a recording project which weaves together many elements and talents of Aotearoa indie and emo. The debut self titled Yon Loader album was released via celebrated US indie label Tiny Engines and features collaborators from projects including Carb on Carb, Recitals, Model and Fouler.
