Celebrating New Zealand Music Month and the upcoming release of their seventh EP *“Blind Alley,”with EPs Eight and Nine imminent …. General Kala will perform a 90-minute set at Whammy Public Bar on Wednesday, 27th May at 8pm.
Taking their lead from classic analog synth acts of the late 1970s and early ’80s, as well as progressive and rock luminaries of both decades, General Kala have been described by others as “Visage meets Berlin.” With soaring, melodic dance compositions and vintage synthesis, they explore the complexities of human behaviour through immersive, emotionally charged music.
