FRESH LAUNDRY is the new public art installation turning Auckland laundromats into unlikely music discovery destinations this May. Five 'washing machine jukeboxes' will be installed in laundromats across Tāmaki Makaurau during NZ Music Month (1-31 May) playing a specially compiled album of “Aotearoa C-Sides”, for anyone waiting on a spin cycle to finish.
What's a C-Side?
Not an A-Side. Not a B-Side. Music that would have never been heard. The FRESH LAUNDRY compilation is built entirely from local C-Sides: songs written, recorded, and loved by artists - but left sitting on a hard drive, unreleased. Genre doesn’t matter. Length doesn’t matter. The compilation aims to unearth and celebrate the rich, diverse soundscape of Aotearoa – in the most unexpected of places.

Eleventeen Ceramics has also made some themed ceramics for you to check-out while waiting for a spin cycle ?
