After hitting #1 on the NZ Alt charts, and #1 with both singles on the 95bFM Top 10, Te Whanganui-a-Tara’s crooked-alt-rock Menzies bring their debut album 'Holding My Cold Hand, Even Though Yours Is Warm' to Meow for their hometown album release. The album and their heralded live performance contain everything that makes Menzies one of the country's most exciting emerging acts.
Menzies are joined by two of Wellington's most exciting live acts - Felix Bird, and Sig Wilder.
“Wow, you guys gave me so much energy” – MJ Lenderman on Menzies, at Camp a Low Hum
“There’s no one else like them” – Right Chord Music UK
'Holding My Cold Hand, Even Though Yours Is Warm' blends twisted guitars, sing-them-later melodies, and deeply Aotearoa storytelling; Suzy Cato, trays of sausage rolls, romantic feelings towards All Blacks. It’s raw, heartfelt, at times humorous, and unlike anything else in the country right now.
Live, Menzies are a band you don’t forget. A show you feel as much as hear. A journey.
With praise from MJ Lenderman himself, this is not one to miss.
