Valere is Tāmaki Makaurau based artist, songwriter and producer Shana Graham, known for her ethereal alt-pop that meshes R&B melodies and intricate arrangements that are ‘kinetic, yet warmly intimate’ (NZ Musician Magazine). She recently was part of the APRA Aotearoa Mentorship programme in 2025, teaming up with award-winning musician Holly Arrowsmith, and gained support twice from NZ on Air’s New Music Pan Asian fund; notably for her latest single ‘I’ll Tell You When I Know’ which was written as part of the Pan Asian Fan Camp songwriting sessions held at Big Fan in 2024. Her other projects, including debut album ‘colours’ and most recent EP ‘Gold Dust’, garnered spots on the likes of RNZ, Rolling Stone AU/NZ and various Spotify editorial playlists, furthering her place as a mainstay in the country’s indie scene.
FLYNN ADAMSON
Flynn Adamson is a Christchurch-born artist delivering pop energy with a grungy live edge. Blending bright guitar-driven hooks, smooth vocals and a live band, Flynn’s performances feel both intimate and stadium-ready. Growing up in Lyttelton Flynn looked up to a variety of artists all the way from Marlon Williams to the Beatles, Justin Bieber and and 5sos. He has also appeared at major events including Christmas in the Park and Selwyn Sounds, sharing stages with leading Kiwi acts such as The Butlers, Chè Fu, Prins and Will Swinton.

This May, in celebration of NZ Music Month, the Uptown Local Voices Series is back - a series of free, spontaneous pop-up gigs bringing live music to unexpected spots across the neighbourhood!
