Moon has your Kings' Birthday weekend plans sorted! We are very excited to be hosting Wet Denim on Sunday, 31st May, with support from Elly Mae.
Rising from a year of record rainfall, Wet Denim are a rock band formed in Wellington, New Zealand who have quickly established themselves a must-see live act across New Zealand and Australia with their unique blend of rock with pop sensibilities. Lead singer Nick Goodwin fronts the band, with Luca Crampton featuring on guitar, and brothers Jack Ledword and Joe Ledword on drums and bass.
Since their 2022 debut, Wet Denim have jumped from strength to strength. Their self-titled EP—co-written and produced by NZ pop juggernaut Drax Project—peaked at #11 on the NZ Hot Charts. Their 2024 release On The Line earned airplay on major New Zealand stations, Triple J, featured in Rolling Stone Australia, and garnered attention from international radio and media across the world. A 2023 signing with German label Zebralution expanded the opportunity for global reach even further.
With multiple tracks spending weeks in Top 10 radio and streaming charts, a reputation for creative boundary pushing music videos, and a raw, heavy hitting live show, their live resume includes three headline tours of New Zealand, multiple festival appearances, opening for Australian acts The Vanns, Grogans, Bootleg Rascal, Teenage Dads, Rions and the Rubens. In 2024, they made their arena debut opening for US heavyweights Highly Suspect, playing for a crowd of 4,000 people, toured New Zealand opening for pop sensations Drax Project, and toured Australia for the first time opening for indie favourites The Tullamarines.
2026 promises to be a busy year with expansive plans for engaging video projects, a good dousing of new music and more live shows in NZ and further afield.
